Today JJ Corry share info about their Battalion Batch No. 3 - The 3rd expression in the series of the first tequila and mezcal Influenced Irish Whiskey.
The Battalion is named in honour of the Battalion San Patricios, or ‘St. Patrick’s Battalion, a group of Irish men who fought for Mexico in the Mexican/American War of 1846-1848.
In this instance the J.J. Corry team were lucky enough to be able to look as far afield as Mexico and beyond for casks and flavours that work with Irish Whiskey. At J.J. Corry, we take inspiration from the work of artisanal spirit producers around the world. The best Mezcal & Tequilas are, at their heart, produced in rural locations by families, not hugely unlike JJ Corry who produce on a family farm on the West coast of Ireland. Batch 3 is an edition of 900 Bottles and bottled at 50% ABV.
