So it's confirmed - popping up on social media this evening, Midleton Barrel Club have posted and confirmed that the Barrel Club Christmas bottle is going to be Redbreast Irish Whiskey.
Referring to it in their post and also on the labeling as the 'Christmas Cake Edition'. We can also see indicated on the label that the whiskey has a 'Cream Sherry Cask Inclusion', suggesting that a portion of the whiskey has spent some time in cream sherry cask. Posting online, Barrel Club said: "The secret is out and the birdie did not lie! Introducing Redbreast Christmas Cake Edition. Quite simply, Christmas cake in a bottle. An exclusive first bottling for our Barrel Club members". Barrel Club releases are exclusive for members and membership subscription windows open at various times during the year. At the time of writing membership is still open until Oct 31st and costs €499.
