The March 2022 single cask release from Barrel & Batch Whisky in Australia is a 'world-first' and specially selected for members of the Barrel & Batch Whisky Co-op. The team there are bringing the first ever Redbreast Single Cask bottled exclusively for Australia.
Coming in at 19 years old this Single Cask - Oloroso Sherry single cask finish is at a cask strength of 60.9%

Appearance:
Dark amber to the eye the aroma is like you’ve stepped into an antique store.
Nose:
A slight earthiness, mahogany leather and a wisp of tobacco. There is a hint of furniture polish, in a good way, that announces the ‘size’ of this whiskey at 60.9%.
Palate:
The palate reveals baked apples with butterscotch sauce and Christmas spices. The earthiness continues, reminiscent of fresh beets and the grain comes through with the flavour of cooked mash.
Finish:
The finish is long with the cacao and nutmeg you expect from an oloroso cask but it also has some date, raisin and red berry sweetness you would normally see from a Pedro Ximénez.
